StockTwits Newbies: How to Tag Tweets So They Are Picked Up on the Stream

I get a bunch of questions about how to properly tag tweets for StockTwits.

It works like this.  If you are including a ticker symbol in your tweet, then put a $ before the symbol like this: $AMZN.

If you are not including a specific ticker in your tweet but it is market related, then put 2 $’s after a space at the very end of the tweet like this. $$
